Some days are better than others...

And today was NOT one of them!!! I remember, after Katie had Amelia and before I had Jesse, her telling me that there was no such thing as a good or bad day! A day was too long of a time frame to measure. It was more of good and bad moments!!! So with that in mind, today...we had a lot of bad moments!!!
This is what our morning looked and sounded like! Fun huh???!!!

Before all the screaming began, we had an incident! I was bathing Jesse, and Annie was playing in her room. (She has gotten better about playing by herself so I feel like I can leave her unattended for very short periods of time). So, it got way to quiet. I decided to peek in on her and somehome she had reached in her diaper changer basket and gotten the jar of vaseline! She opened up and was grabbing handfuls of it and flinging it all over her room!!! It was on her rug, on the floors, on her toys her crib her clothes and in her hair!!! Does vaseline ever come off???
Check out her slick hairdo that she wore the rest of the day!!!

After we got over that I put Jesse on his play mat and we were all settled down...see how calm he looks...

That is until Annie sat on his head! Literally...right on top of his little head. He started screaming and I scooped him up and got onto Annie. I was trying to calm him down and I look over at her and her bottom little lip was sticking straight out and these big crocodile tears started pouring out of her eyes. It was a different cry than I had ever seen her cry before. It was like she actually felt so sorry for hurting Jesse. Her little sad face made me cry. I scooped her up too and all three us sat together crying!

The rest of the day consisted of a lot of mess/fussing/cooking/cleaning/and finally elmo...ahhh...elmo...he's a life saver! Annie sits so quietly and watches Elmo likes nothing else! It's wonderful on days like today!
Here are some of my little angle...check out all her different faces...she's always up to something.

And here's some of my sweet little man! He's growing so fast!

And both of them! She loves jesse so much and he has started smiling when he sees her! This was a "good moment" today!

It sounds like you handled things really well. Brayden is only 2 weeks old and I have already had meltdowns with my two little ones! I know what you mean when you say the three of you cried together :(

Corey...I'm only laughing because I've been there! Reading that reminded me of many days I had in FL with the girls...where all 3 of us ended up crying! Your kids are too cute for words! Hugs and Misses! Erin

Already done it a couple of time! Ha, sorry, but I feel better just reading this...makes me feel like I'm not the only one. They are both so precious.
